"After putting our 19 yr old Dachshund down a couple of years ago, I began looking for a breeder for a new furry friend.  I looked at breeders in Bakersfield, San Diego, Whittier, and all around the southern California area.  Through a chance meeting, I learned of DuPar Dachshunds, and there found a Master-level trained breeder right here in Santa Barbara.  Her process for adoption was simple and the sweet little dog came to me at 8 weeks night kennel trained, pee pad trained and could come, ring a bell and sit. Rachel has policies in place that gave me confidence that my pup would be protected from inner-breeding/crossing bloodlines and the vision and hearing deficits that can occur.  I received documents on genetic testing, AKC registration, and the sire and dam information.  Their puppies are raised in a home with the family and learn early to be gentle.  They received a lot of interaction from the family as well as the farm they live on with other animals.  At 10 weeks, I attended a puppy training class and in the class of 12 puppies, I realized just how confident and calm my pup was when compared to the pups I saw around me.  I would considering adopting another DuPar Dachshund and I have no hesitancy about the quality of the dog I will receive.  Thank you DuPar Dachshunds for setting the standard for an overall great dog adoption experience!"
